Most of us think of those bathroom heat lamps as a luxury—something to keep you from shivering the second you step out of the shower. That sounds fine, but it often leaves your tiles cold, which is exactly why you get that annoying condensation dripping down the walls. Infrared (IR) lamps work differently. Instead of fighting the air, they send out waves of energy that hit your walls and ceiling directly. It basically shakes the water molecules until they evaporate. By keeping the surfaces warm, you stop water from pooling in the first place. And that’s where the real magic happens with mold. Mold is picky.
