Then comes the short circuit. Then comes the dead heater. The “Cheap” Way vs. The Right Way We see this all the time with consumer-grade stuff. They use a bit of basic glue or some thin silicone to hold things together. It works for a while, but it can’t handle the stress of a 1500W element. The heat just eats right through the wire jacket. Give the wires a nice, soft curve. It takes an extra ten seconds, but it ensures that seal stays rock-solid for years.
