The second the power kicks in, it’s warm. No waiting for a fan to push lukewarm air around the room. Setting it and forgetting it
You shouldn’t have to trek out to the coop in your pajamas just to check the temperature. We usually set things up with a smart controller and a few sensors. You pick your number—let’s say 15°C—and the system handles the rest. When the temp drops, the relay clicks on. When it’s warm enough, it shuts off. One quick tip: make sure you use heavy-duty relays. A few things to watch out for
Waterproofing is a lifesaver, but it comes with a trade-off. Since the housings are sealed tight to keep moisture out, the heat can get trapped inside the unit itself. Give your mounting brackets some breathing room. If the chassis can’t breathe, the internal guts might fry during a long winter stretch. Also, don’t go overboard with how many units you cram onto one smart hub. If you overload the system, you’ll start noticing a lag between hitting “on” in your app and the heater actually firing up.
